The Executive

President

  1. The President shall preside at all Annual and Extraordinary General Meetings and Executive Meetings and shall be responsible for the proper conduct of business;
  2. Shall have a casting vote in the event of a deadlock;
  3. Where for any reason the President is unable to carry out functions outlined in the Constitution, the Vice-President shall preside.

Vice-President

  1. The Vice-President shall assist the President in the execution of his duties and in his absence perform the duties of President;
  2. Shall perform other duties as may be assigned by the President/Executive;

Secretary

  1. The Secretary shall keep a register of all members;
  2. Give Notice of all meetings;
  3. Be responsible for recording the minutes of each Meeting of the Executive or the Association and the circulation of minutes to relevant members, at least 48 hours prior to the next meeting;
  4. Inform members of their financial standing in the association;
  5. Keep all other records of the Association and be responsible for the official correspondence of the Association’s files.

Treasurer

  1. The Treasurer shall be responsible for the proper and prudent management of all the Association’s finances in keeping with established book-keeping and financial standards;
  2. Prepare and present monthly reports to the Executive and an audited financial statement to the Annual General Meeting on the state of the Association’s finances;
  3. Head the Finance and Fundraising Committee of the Association.

Communications Officer/Assistant Secretary

  1. The Communications Officer shall be responsible for all communications and public relations activities of the Association;
  2. Coordinate special events organized by the Association;
  3. In the Absence of the Secretary, perform duties of the Secretary.

Floor Members

  1. Floor Members have special responsibility for mobilisation of membership and recruitment.
