The Interim Committee of the Media Association of Saint Lucia (MASL) has set the framework for the first elections of the new organisation. The formation of the MASL follows a prolonged period of absence of an umbrella organisation to represent the interests of media workers on the island.

A historical perspective would take up much valuable time from the task at hand…so I wish to provide a survey or the significance of the St. Lucia media Workers Association when it existed and the importance of an organisation today.
